Subject: important info for the Closed session tonight
I have a concern that I would like to have addressed at the "closed session" meeting tonight. I speak for many other
concerned citizens when I say we are tired of the underhanded and unethical dealings of Howard Ahmanson, Dave Ellis
and Bob McCaferty (sp) and their connection with Team Newport current City Council Members and with Lee and Will
that they are supporting this year!!! I like Will and Lee but not who they are backed by. Now it appears that Lee has a
campaign violation for too much money from 1 group.
We firmly believe that we need a Special prosecutor to enforce the campaign contribution laws in the City since our City
Attorney says he doesn't have "the power" to enforce it. We asked that the 5 Team Newport members of City Council do
the Right thing and vote to have a Special Prosecutor enforce the laws.
Thanks, concerned citizens

Subject: Equal Treatment of all Canidates
Dear Mayor Dixon -
My wife and I are Balboa Island residents and support Jeff Herdman. We believe that Jeff would be
the best representative for our Island.
We are disturbed that Jeff was censored for accepting $ 200 several days prior to the prescribed time
and we now see that the same is true for
Lee Lowery - In the interest of fairness we believe that Lee Lowery should also be held accountable.
Please address this issue at the coming meeting.
Thank you Sue and Scott Sibley
