What about fall! What will be
the trends in this year's new
aeuon of fashion ... because fall
Is the most definite seasonal fash-
Ion change we have ln Southern
California. We may cheat on spring
by 'WM!ing our pastel woolens
early, we may slide into summer
by venturing the strapless dress
with the jacket and our cotton
,;portswear prematurely. but fall
comes with a definite timing and
there's nothing as le ftover as a
spring bonnet at the first fall
party.
No wonder our clever customers
are sayin~t. "What about fall?"

He said now that U the city

to erant a reasonable extension.
The committee report, however,
made no recommendation tor fur·

The following day, before the
County Board of Supervtson , Ia.

the West Nt>wport area. The su-
pervisors delayed action on the
proposed oil ordinance, which
would estabUsh proven fields, and
final action on the ordinance is
expected at next Tuesday's meet·
1ng.
Local residents present included
Councilman Francis Horvath, Mrs.
T. Duncan Stewart, M"-Paul Da-
vis, Mrs. Jack F1orer and Edward
Healy. They opposed the req\K'St
of Kadane and Sons to bring the
southerly boundary or the West

the highway and proposed that the
boundary be kept back to the ex-
