Mrs. Stephenson's mother. Mrs.

Stephenaons' other home is in
Brentwood.
Appointment or nine ne w teach-
ers, registration instructions and
boundaries for the e 1 e m e n t a r Y
schools were announced this wN'k
by H. 0 . Ensign, superintendent
of the Newport ~ach Elementary
School Dis trict. Registration will be held Mon-
day. Sept. 8, and opening date of
school will be Sept. 10. Registra-
tion will begin at 8 a . m. a t all
three schools -Horace Ensign,
Newport and Corona del Mar.
Children will be picked up be-
tween 7:50 and 8 :20 a. m . at laat
year's bUs stops and will be re-
turned home in the morning after
registration has been completed.
Parents are not a llowed in the
school buses, but parents are re-
quested to accompany new en-
roUPes in kindergarten as well as
in the grades. The bus schedule
\\ill remain the same as it was at
the close of the last school year
until a . revised schedule can be
completed.
Children are eligible to enter
kindergarten if they have reached
the age of 5 on or before Dec. 1.
AU children enrolling In kinder-
garten for the first time m ust pre-
sent documentary evidence of
birth date, such as : birth certifi-
cate. family Bible, baptismal certi-
ficate, passport (If It shows birth-
date). hospital certJCicate. Chil-
dren are eligible to enter the first
grade if they have reached the age
of 6 on .or before Dec. 1, or hav£>
suffici£>nt pr&f to show that they
have attended kind~rgarten for
one year .
