An uniden- tified onlooker gave artlllcial res- piration until the fire department and life· guards arrived to give the girl oxygen. Life guards credited him with aiding in sav- ang her life. The girl was taken to Hoag Memorial Hospital by ambulance upon the advice of a physician called to the scene. She was re- leased from the hospital Monday morning. Mrs. Art>al Foley ot Los An· geles, the ~;irl's grandmother, said tha t the girl had been push- ing on one of the boats moored at Ev"Bns' Landing. She later heard a hail from a group of hshermen on shore that there I was a small girl floaUng face I down in the bay, pollee reported. Mrs. Foley and her husband jumped into t he watt>r in an at- tempt to rescue the girl but were unable to make a ny headway against the incoming tide, police reported.
