Our Fifth
Anniversary
On Monday, March 15, we wdl be
celebrating our fifth Birthday. In the
fall of 1948. when we were organizing
the bank for Corona del Mar, ou r com-
muruty was just starting the phenom-
enal grow th which has gamed mo-
mentum with each passing year. So
we feel that this bank and a new
Corona del Mar were born about the
same hme.
On Decembe r 31. 1949, deposits
totaled $1 ,400,000.00 belongmg to 1400
depositors. Today total deposits are
$3,700,000.00 w ith 3500 depos1tors. The
stockholders, all local people, have
seen their investment grow from total
capital funds of $105,000.00 to present
capital of $200.000.00. To keep up with
our grow th and to gtve our customers
the best of service. the number of our
employees has been mcreased fro m 5
to 16 we have added the most modern
equtpment and we have mcreased by
50°,:, the S!Ze o: OUr bankmg room
, I· has been our m m to make our
customers feel that we are mteresteci
in the1r wellare. that we are a ll part
of the same communny and that by
working together we can a ttain any
goal
We ask tha our customerS and
other res1dents of the Newport Harbor
area call at the bank next week and
m commemoration of our hfth anmve r-
sary , rece1ve one of our "samples ·
