ber of Commerce on a b asls
which was presented by Co un-,
cllman Andrew Smith. I do not
know who Colon.el Smith had In
mind when he presented the
proposition to you; however,
ther e are no doubt many quali-
CJed people who would make a
slmJJiar otter to the Chamber of
Commerce. In the event tha t
your org anization Is seriously
considering a reorganization pro-
rram. or ls looking Cor some
method of Improving the Ch am·
ber, I would be glad to re nder
my services on the following
basis:
1. The books of the Chamber
of Commerce are to be audited
as of the date of the comme nce·
ment of my services.
2. I shall have full authority
to employ future employ<'es or
dlsmJss a ny who are now on
your pay-roll.
3. To eliminate any Impres-
sion that I am trying to usurp
a nyone's position. It ls to be
agreed that my services wiJl
terminate permanently at the
end of the contract year.
