Merry Chrt.stmaa to a ll!
We're writing our Christmas
letter from Brisbane a m o n 1
beautiful late spring nowers in
November.
On our way out frorn Calllornla
we spent three fascinating weeks
In the FIJI Islands on the edge of
the Coral Sea, photographing like
mad. Suva with Its Fijian and
Indian shops and markets was
Interesting. One delightful week
we spent In native type thatched
burrls on the beach at Korolevue,
swimming snorkeling over coral
reefs and showing Kodachromes
to native Fijians, Indians and
New Zealand fellow tourists. For
five days we explored the remote
Yassawa Is lands In a 40.foot
cruiser, catching 50 pound flsh,
visiting native villages, photo.
graphing war dances, and even
being presented to a naUve king
and his court.
Australia Is most amazing. The
"Aussles" are more like "Yanks''
than any people we have met
and their hospitality Is colossal.
Nothing Is too much trouble-
