e TIME TO HOLD THAT LIN£
I agr .. with School Trustee Harvey Pease that this is o time for
holding the line on salary increase s ... and for the same reasons that
Mr. Pease gave at last week's meeting of the Newport Beach Ele-
mentary School Board: there's o big school bond issue coming up.
and there s a bit of a recession going on. • • •
e YOU CAN HELP FIGHT THE RECESSION
We can do something about that recession, not just moan about
it Our local car dealers are leading the way with their "You Auto Buy
Now" campaign. It's a good slogan. and not just for cars, but for
buying in gene ral. Savings accounts in banks are at on all-time high .
but it is unwise economy to hang on too tightly. That c~~n only accel-
erate the recession. Don't spend it oil, but if you've been planning
some purchases, and if you can afford it. BUY IT NOW, and help
put those guys and gals bad to wort throughout the nation. • • •
