BONNIE LEA HAAPA, _ehotOCJf'ephed et Hoeg Hospital at the age of ebout 20 minutes. (Pftoto by Pop.) • ITS A GmL! I am taking over Daddy's Log this week, because Daddy seems to be sort of flustered. and it's already near the deadline for our newspaper. You see, I have a new baby s1ster named Bonme Lea Haapa She arrived at 10:00 o'clock Tuesday morning at Hoag Hosp1tal, exactly the same place where I came too. She's really a pretty b ig SlSter. 'cause she weighed 7 pounds and 13 ounces. and she is 211/z mches long. She has qmte a lot of blonde hair, a little darker than mme IS now. She's got no teeth at all Her hands are all sewed up in her little white shirt, but she seems to hke to wave to us at the wmdow. Daddy called us up at home nght away when Bonnie Lea arrived and smd, "It's a girl," but he send she is so cute and cuddly that he'll bnng her home after all. I guess Daddy wanted a boy, maybe to be ·a re-por-ter, or a newsboy, or maybe a pub-lisher. But Mummy and I a re so happy it's a gul. and we out-vote Daddy 6-7-8-9-TEN!-to one. I think it's all right with Daddy. because I heard him say he will bring both Mummy and Bonnie Lea home this week-end. I'm going to let my little sister play with all of my toys. even w ith my com-popper, and my very own baby Met-Mei. and my horste, and with all my bears. too-o-o We're gomg to get along real swell Luv, Karin ._ •• •••• PI PI•• CABELL DAR CHAPTER MKWJCMT ..... &d.a I taUMDar, ••-=-1. 1• 1111111'1 Llle IIIIET .-au•n · . ~ •••••• ••• 11 ..
