I need not add a word, or delete a WOfd, from today's
"Probe" column, on this page of the Ensign. "Probe"
Is expressing the clear truth that the Issue facing all of
us is the choice between good and evi I, and that the
word from the Lord is not to have fellowship with evil.
From the highest office in our land comes the statement
that "foreign policy in the modern world does not lend
itself simpl y to black and wh ite choices of good or evil".
The official po licy of the President's administration is
coexistence with the evil of com munism -and not just
coexistence, but also negotiation and cooperation,
through treaties, offi ci al visits and joint vet:~tures.
If the President is true to his faith, he will repudiate
this policy of accommoda tion with atheistic communism.
On the same day that this week 's Probe column was
brought to the Ensign offi ce came a letter from Mrs. Hal
'Ledford, fo rmerly a Harbor area resident, now living in
Upland. She also pleads for a return to the truths of the
Scriptures, because "God will protect and pres erve this
great land of ours only so long as we a re His people
and obey HIs word.''
She writes: "The Ch ristian Patriots who are despera-
tely try ing to save th is country must help hold up the
standard of righteousness and take a lead in getting this
country back to the Bible. When yoo wr ite congressmen
and senators, base your whole stand on whether or not
the item is moral, whether or not Go d's law approves.
"No where does God tell us to co-exist with evil. He
says to overcome evil -to overcome evil with good. And
by that He does not mean being good TO evil. It is m~
rally wrong to help the evil Cof communism) advance,
wh en its winning will mean the end of Christianity."
This is in deed a ti me to bind your convictions with the
word hom th~ Scrlp~Hes.

I need not add a word, or delete a word, from today's
"Probe" column, on this page of the Ensign. "Probe"
is expressing the clear truth that the issue facing all of
us is the choice between good and evil, and that the
word from the Lord is not to have fellowship with evil.
From the highest oHice in our land comes the statement
that "foreign policy in the modern world does not lend
itself simpl y to black and white choices of good or evil".
The official policy of th e President's administration is
coexistence with the evil of communism -and not just
coexistence, but also negotiation and cooperation,
through treaties, official visits and joint ventures.
If the President is true to his faith, he will repudiate
this policy of accommodation with atheistic communism.
On the same day that this week's Probe column was
brought to the Ensign oHice came a letter from Mrs. Hal
Ledford, formerly a Harbor area resident, now Jiving in
Upland. She also pleads for a return to the truths of the
Scriptures, because "God wi II protect and preserve this
great land of ours only so long as we are His people
and obey His word."
She writes: "The Chr1sticY1 Patriots who are despera.
tely trying to save this country must help hold up the
standard of righteousness and take a lead in getting this
country back to the Bible. When you write congressmen
and senators, base your whole stand on whether or not
the 1tem is moral, whether or not God's law approves.
"No where does God tell us to co--exist with evil. He
says to overcome evil -to overcome evil with good. And
by that He does not mean being good TO evil. It is mo-
rally wrong to help the evil (of communism) advance,
when tts winning will mean the end of Ch ristianity."
Th is is indeed a time to bind your convictions with the
wotd hom the Sc•ipwres.
