RESOLUTION OF INTENTION NO.
A RESOLUTION OF INTENTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH DECLARING ITS
INTENTION TO ORDER THE CLOSING UP, VACATION,
AND ABANDONA:ENT OF PORTIONS OF CERTAIN ALLEYS
IN THE CORONA DEL MAR DISTRICT, CITY OF NE11-
PORT BEACH, COUNTY OF ORANGE, STATE OF
CALIFORNIA.
The City Council of the City of Newport Beach, pur-
suant to the provisions of the "Street Vacation Act of 1941110
approved AIay 13, 1941, Statutes 1941, Chapter 250 and amend-
ments thereto, being Division 9, Part 3, Chapters 2 and 3,
Sections 8320 to 8331, inclusive, Streets and Highways Code,
does hereby ordain, resolve, and declare as follows:
Section 1: That the public interest and convenience
require the closing up and abandonment of portions of certain
alleys in the Corona Del Ifar District, in the City of Nec.port
Beach, and it is the intention of the City Council of the City
of Newport Beach to order the following described alleys in
said Corona Del Mar District, in the City of Newport Beach,
County of Orange, State of California, to be vacated, closed up
and abandoned, towit:
All of that alley 14 feet in width and that
alley 12 feet in width in Block A-37, as shown upon
a map of Corona Del liar recorded in Miscellaneous
Map Book 3, Pages 41 and 42, records of Orange County,
California, and more particularly described as fol-
lows:
Beginning at the most northerly corner of Lot 8
of said Block A-370 thence northeasterly on a direct
line to the most :westerly corner of Lot 10 of said
Block, thence southeasterly along the southwesterly
line of said Lot 10 to the most southerly corner
thereof, thence northeasterly along the southeasterly
line of Lots 100 120 14 and 16 of said Block to the
most easterly corner of Lot of said Lot 160 thence
on a direct line to the most northerly corner of
Lot 15 of said Block, thence southwesterly along

the northwesterly line of Lots 15, 13, 11 and 9 to
the most westerly corner of said Lot 9, thence south-
easterly along the southwesterly line of said Lot 9
to the most southerly corner thereof, thence south-
westerly on a direct line to the most easterly corner
of Lot 1 of said Block, thence northwesterly along
the northeasterly line of Lots 10 2, 30 4, 5,6,7 and
8 to the point of beginning.
All portions of said alleys to be vacated, closed up,
and abandoned, are more clearly shown on a certain map approved
and adopted by the City Council of the City of Newport Beach
for said vacation, closing up and abandonment, by Resolution
dated January 27, 1947, and designated "Resolution No-i4l L .
Reference is hereby made for further particulars as to the
proposed vacation, closing up, and abandonment of said portions
of said alleys, to said map, and said map is made a part of
this Resolution to the same extent and purpose as if the same
were herein incorporated in full.
Section 2: That the proceedings for the closing up and
abandonment of the aforesaid portions of said alleys shall be
had and taken, and the City Council of the City of Newport Beach
elects to proceed under the provisions of the "Street Vacation
Act of 1941", approved May 13, 1941, Statutes 1941, Chapter 250
and amendments thereto, being Division 9, Page 31 Chapters 2 and
3, Sections 8320 to 8331, inclusive, Streets and Highways Gode.
Section 3: The Street Superintendent of the City of
Newport Beach shall cause to be conspicuously posted along the
line of the portions of the alleys proposed to be vacated, not
more than 300 feet apart, but not less than three in all, notices
of the vacation of said portions of said alleys. Said notices
shall state the passage of this Resolution of Intention and the
time and place of the hearing of all persons interested in or
objecting to the proposed vacation of said portions of said
alleys, all as required by law.
Section 4: Notice is hereby given that the City Council

of the City of Newport Beach does hereby fix Konday, the 10th
day of February, 1947, at the hour of four o'clock P.AM. of said
day, in the Council Chambers of the City of Newport Beach,
located in the City Hall in the City of Newport Beach, as the
time and place for hearing all persons interested in or object-
ing to the proposed vacation of said portions of said alleys.
And the said City Council at said time and place will hex the
evidence offered by any person interested in the vacation of
said portions of said alleys heretofore described.
Section 5• This Resolution of Intention shall be

newspaper of general circulation printed, published and cir-
culated in the City of Newport Beach, and said publication
shall be made before the date set for the hearing of all persons
interested in or objecting to the proposed vacation.
