In our opinion, no. One of the
concerns is radiation. Actually,
radiation is a natural phenomenon.
Background radiation is e,·erywhere
and always has been. It comes from
the food you eat. the air you breathe.
the materials used to build your home.
The San Onofre nuclear plant near
San Clemente is a source of some
radiation, too. The question is how
much additional radiation are peopl e
exposed to living near San Onofre?
The answer: so little that an
elaborate monitoring program for
the area surrounding the plant has
yet to detect any additional radiation
from operation of the plant.
People may also wonder what would
happen to a nuclear power plant if
there were a severe earthquake. The
fact is, the design provisions for
nuclear power plants against
earthquakes far excero those
required by standard building codes.
But should they?

Today the Jewish people still need the
Saviour-Messiah. God's love for them is
everlasting (Jer. 31:3) and we aliould
love them too. Some Christians have no
interest in Israel and some have com-

Let us love them sincerely, pray for them
earnestly, and give towards their salva-
