• A RESOLUTION FOR THE NEW YEAR
A happy New Year to you all! And It
can be a good new year if we would learn
from the hard knocks of the years past
and apply the lessons in 1972.
Tackling the Inflation problem would be
an excellent subject for a resolution !or
1972 . Infiatlon can be licked by putting
our federal government on a sound fi-
nancial footing, just as a business has
to do to survive. Instead of playing the
role of the little Dutch boy, keeping a
finger in a hole in the dike to prevent
a ' devastating flood, why not fix the dike I
The Nixon administration, with Its price
and wage controls, Is like that Dutch boy,
with a finger In the dike. The way to
repair the national "dike" to hold back
the flood of Inflation is to cut back the
federal spending below the income level.
Just as simple as that!

Is pushing our nation toward bankruptcy.
What a tremendous Impact It could have
across the nation if our city council and
school board and county s upervisors would
announce that they are cooperating with
President Nixon's fight against Inflation,
and then back up this announcement with
refusal to ask for federal funds for local

God.· Man; He is the Lord.
Now notitt this. "Unto us a son
is given" me:ans that .Jesus is born or a vir-Kin. He was tht only
belotten Son oC God, so He was
bqotten by a mirade, not by a
human fat her. Does it matter about
the virgin birth? Well. if the Bible
is true, the vir-in binh is true. rr
Jesw is God, then the virgin binh
is true. If you think it d~s not
matter, then either you have been
under bad teaching or you are not a
C hristian. Jesus IS born of a
virgin.
So Cod Himself b«arm-Man in
t~ rorm or the Baby .Jesus. Deity
enterd into the womb o( that
virgin and there came in du(' time
Cod's own Son wrapped in human
flesh so He could be a Substitute
fur man, so He could bt: a Paurrn
for man, so He could love man and
interttde for man. God hecame
man in .Jesus throujith the vi rgin

Is Jesus Cod ? O h, )'es. Jesus is
God like God t~ f;ather is Cod.
And He is as eternal. He is as holy
aJ the Father. Thf righteousneu o(
the Father is His and the power of
the Fatl,tr is His. for He is Creator
with Cod, His Father.
Someone said, ''Brother Rict:,
don't you think when we pray we
should ask the Holv .'ipirit to help
us to pray, but we should pray
through the name of Jesus and
come to the Father ?" I have said
many times that if you watnt to
pray to .Jesus, that is all ri~~:ht, for
He is God. And if you want to pray
to the t-loly Spirit, that is all right,
b«ausc: there is no jealousy in thr
Godhead. What one does. They all
do. And what one wants, Thry all
want. What onr hears when vou
pray, T he y all hear. Jesus is ·the
