It was first published five

For that long and longer
we've been warning southern
Californians about an
approaching natural gas
shortage.
Natural gas supplies
available to us from Cali-
fornia sources have dedi ned
80 per ct:nt in the last
s1x years.
Supplies from our most
am port ant out-of-state
sources are being cut back by
14 per cent this year.
And wCve been told to
expect more cuts.
n omen:•
The Southern California Gas Company supplic,;
around 12 million southern Californians with
natural gas.
Approximately 95 per ct:nt of all homes in
southern California are heated by natural gas.
Some 92 per cent use gas to heat their water.
More than 75 per ceot we it to cook.
Thousands of businesses and shops aren't
equipped to use any other fuel except gas. And
many industries use it both as fuel, and u a raw
material for the products they manufacture.
'* ............. \Wn 1lre.ady luld co cut back supplying fli\Jir&l
gas to tome companiti-thosc that can ~Xmvert to
ocher fuels. By 1979, we'll have to Slsrt cuttln& bock

to connn to other fuels-if ~ don't aet new

itself won't do the iob citha.
There simply 1sn't enough '

We plan to build a plam
that makes sub,thute gas
from coal. BUt over 10:)
approvals have been needed
from more thnn .&Odifferent
government agenctes, and
that takes time.
Even when completed,
this $l·billion plant will
supply only a ponion of our
gas n«"<fs .
W~re researching the
dt"Ve!opment of new sources
of energy, like solar energy,
but !><:Jcntists tell us reason-
ably pnccd energy from th~
sources in quantity is decades
awny.
We're negouating to buy natural gas from
Alaska. And we're looking into supplies m Canada,
Indonesia, and'south America.
But we're up against stiff Competiuon from both
domestic and foreign buyers who a!~ badly
need that gas. ·
To get some of the gas here, plants"'Will have to
be built to liquefy the gaS so it can be shipped by
LNG shiP:tQ CaJifornia.
Then we're going to have to build facilities in
CaJifornia 10 reconven the hquid to gas.
..... .,,.liM' f lt'1 a mix of aU these efforu. But in. the critical
near future, if aerious shona,es a~ to be avoided,
Jarge-tcale tXW supplies of J&S are the only answer.

WILL
A HOMOSEXUAL OR LESBIAN GO TO HEAVEN?
Someone asked the question "Will a homosexual or les-
bian go to heaven ?'' Theanswertothat question ts NO
according to 1 Cor. 6 :9-11, uKnow ye not that the
unrighteous SHALL NOT INHERIT THE KINGDOM OF
GOD ? Be not deceived: Neither fornicators, nor idol-
ators, nor adulterers, nor EFPIMlNATE (homosexual),
nor abusers of themselves with manklnd, nor thieves,
nor covetous, nor dnmkards, nor revilers, nor extor -
tioners SHALL INHERIT THE KINGDOM OF GOD. And
such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are
sanctifiedt but ye are Justified, in the name of the Lord
Jesus, ana by the Spirlt of our God.
God did not create homosexuals. For Jesus said in
Matt. 19:4 that God made only two sexes. "Have ye not
read , !haj ,he whicl> made them at the begipn lng made
them rna e and female." The Gay movement tn rt:olly-
wood is making ev~ry attemPt to get an approval of a
third sex. They are seeking bivine approval from the
Church. Paul wrote to the church at Corinth. "Now
concerning the things whereof ye wrote me: It is good
for a man not to touclt a woman. Nevertheless, to avoid
fornication, Let every man have his own wife, and let
every woman have her own husband." (l Cor. 7:1-2)
There were no homosexuals in the large c hu rch at
Corinth ! Paul recognized only two sexes in the church:
male and female, the same that God created in the be-
J{inningl He approved of every man having his own wife.
He approved of every woman having her own husband;
but the thing NOW Is MEN SEXUALLY WITH MEN AND
WOMEN SEXUALLY WITH WOMEN. Instead of a man
crying over toeing his woman. he's crying over losing
his man. WQmen are dressing and acting like men.
Homosexuals and lesbians come into the chUrch nowa-
days wanting to be recognized as Christiano. In the
churches today, we find most singers and musicians are
homo8exu&JS. How. d18grac'efiu it ts to see whAt" ts sup-
posed to be a man, directing a supposed to be Christian
cbotr. How disgraoefultt is to see what is supJ:osed to
be a woman wltb musclesllke a man, walk ancf talk like
a man and dress llke a man.
There is only one/lace for a homosexual or lesbian in
God's church, an that's on the altar for salvation.
There were no homosexuals tn the chu rch at Corinth,
but there were some members who had been homosex-
uals before they were converted to Jesus Christ. They
were referred to by Paul in I Cor. 6:9-ll.
Some had been effiminate (homosexual) and some bad
been abusers of themselves with mankind (sndomlt~o l

vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was
darkened. Professing themselves to be wise, they be-

Wherefore, God also gave them up to Wloleanness

This enUre aort_pture passage Is ceritered on the sins of
wmatural sex affections an<f practices. It indicates that
homosexuals bring about many of the changes In their

In concluatoo, you must Wlderstand that God made only
two sexes, male and female, that they made themselves
· homoeexual, and that theyhavethepower, If they exer-
cise their will, to make themselves again what God
made them at the time of theIr bl rth.
The Bible does speak to homoeexualo. It opeab the
word of recoocUlation. "Be ye reconciled unto God."
II opeaka lite word of pardon and cleansing. "Htm that
oometb unto me, I will in nowise oaat out:'' It speakll
tbe word of newness. uuanymanbe In Christ, he is a

thinp are become new."
It opeab the word of warning. "Know ye not that your
body lo the tomple of God? If any man defile thlo tom-
pie, him will GOd destroy." '
The Bible never speaks a single word of approv&l for
any unnatural sex practices, whether these be homo-
'seXual, sodomy, or leoblanlom; but It doeo speak the
word of hope and help, "Come unto me all ye ttial labor
and are be&yY laden and I will give you rest." ..
Tbe Bible opeako to all who have olnned, the word of

THE JUNGLE
Mubammed AU would call II lllOiher "rumble In the )Ingle." The snarls, the
bacltblltog, the booe-plcklog and the stealthy stalklnc of enemies Is like something
out of Jungle Jim or Tarzan.
I'm talklog about the )Ingle on the Potomac. Our oalloo's capllol. As we approach
ZOO years of enlightened American clvUt&attoo, lhe seal of KOYernment looks about
as c?vutzed as a headhunters CODvenUoo..
Is II any wonder our government CUI't gel anylhtog done? They're too busy sl>.tklog
each other, and digging through burial mounds lo see wbose bones the CIA or the fBI
bas burled. They lcp olf the heads of government departments, and transfer guys
around so fast, you need a program to figure out who's In wballenl. Where Is Klsstog-
er I his week: Has the big medicine man fallen out of faYOr wtlh the gods of the )Ingle?
Who runs the CIA this month? Who's In )I.U, and who's headed there?
What Is Hubert Humphrey !alkiDe about this week? Is he 101Dg lo "setlle" his old
campo.IKO del>ls by paying 3 or 4 cents on the dollar? Can you believe this guy still
owes $900,000'? Now he knows how the rest of us feel about the deflcll spending thai
has put us aU In the hole. Next time we get our 1u bUis, maybe we should send In 3
cents on the dollar. Hubert would '-•• lo scrap some of his big welfare programs.
WIU Jobn Tunney come up with the same "fllnny money" method of po.ytog olf his
. debts? He'd better do somelhtog "'lc)l, because an hor>est man from Newport Beach,
by the name of John Schmitz, Is abo!lt lo take him on.
While they're passing all these new campatcn laws, maybe they could come up
wllh one thai would ban a guy from running again unW be's po.ld his debts from the
last campalcn.
Sacrameato has a )Ingle atmosphere, too, except lt'a a llttlo flllllllor. Up tbtre, It's
mostly drumbeats, crowls, howls and gibberish. MaJI)o lhewltcb doelor •• everybody
·1n a trance -all they can do Is TALK about smaller co•emment and less opendlng.
EYefJilme they start lo DO something, lhe trance paralysu tMm.
What we need lo do Is start cltalllng up the )lncle. Start up the old CCC camp~
