ITEM NO. 2 WOLVERTON DUPLEX VARIANCE (PA2016-159)
Site Location: 602 and 602'/2 Iris Avenue
Summary:
A variance to allow portions of a new duplex to exceed the maximum height limit. Also included is a request
to allow a raised walkway that is greater than 18 inches in height from the existing grade within the required
side setbacks.
Recommended Action:
1. Conduct a public hearing;
2. Find this project exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) pursuant to Section
15303 under Class 3 (New Construction) of the CEQA Guidelines, because it has no potential to
have a significant effect on the environment; and
3. Adopt Resolution No. _ approving Variance No. VA2016-004.

ITEM NO. 3 GENERAL PLAN ANNUAL STATUS REPORT (PA2007-195)
Site Location: Citywide
Summary:
Review of the progress in implementing the General Plan and Housing Element in accordance with
Government Code Section 65400.
Recommended Action:
1. Review and comment; and
2. Forward to City Council for review and authorize submittal to the Office of Planning and
Research (OPR) and the State Department of Housing and Community Development (HCD).

approval of the General Plan and Housing Element Annual Report.
