representatives of the Sea Scout
council for rehabilitation of the
Sea Scout base on the Coast high-
way water front.
City council disapproved of a
Sea Scout council petition request-
ing the addition o( 100 more feet
to the present base as well as re-
jecting an extension in the time
limit of the present lease from
May 1, 1962 to May 1, 1972.

entrance to Newport pier. the ~city
council rejected a request for a
cafeteria building at that point on
Monday.

detection and treatment of disease
in the state.
The clinical laboratory, repre-
senting a total investment of ap-
proximately $175,000. was viewed
by members of the Orange County
Medical Assn. who met there Tur-s-
day night, at which time Dr. Wil-
ton L. Halverson, state director

cipal speaker, praising the initia-
tive of a group of northern Or-
ange county physicians in financ-
ing the laboratory.
All of the most modern equip-

Scouting and also to teach them
the proper handling and safety of
firearms. The club will be chart-
