The Southern California Edison Company h.S applied ~o the California Public UtilitieS Commission for per-
mission to make a general rate increase.
This isn't jwit our opinion, but the view expressed at
the Financial Public Relations Association at their Coro·
nado convention recently. The aasoci~tion represenU.
some 1,600 progressive banks throughout the United States
which apend millions of dollars annually dn advertising ..
What makes the expression of this view more con-
vincing is the !&ct ti\at.it is borne out in practice. Cali·
fornia's large11t bank and many other financial institutions
have centered th!!ir advertising campaigns around the
newspapers for many years. They continue to do so.
