There are many programs and classes being run at different parts of the city throughout the day, and knowing how to behave, and what your priontes are during a disaster can be overwhelming. With this In mind, the training was put into place to teach staff how to not only handle themselves in a stressful situation, but how to properly lead people to safety and shelters. An important aspect of being prepared is being aware of your responsibilities, your environment and being able to think through practical plans of action. The session, which was half day, began with a test of the call out system, a tour of the Emergency Operations Center {EDC} andexplanation of the City's EDC process. The group was then moved to the Community Room where representatives from Red Cross explained how they run and how we will work together in sheltering the public. Staff was also given the opportunity to view the Red Cross commissary truck and shelter trader that would be used during a
