Flea Market Time
Paris Arrives
The heady perfume of Parb in the springtime will waft over the
aay fi ower atalla and festive booths Friday, April 26, to create the most
lu.tbentic of atmoepheres for the Flea Market sponsored by the Irvine
Terrace PhilhaTn1onic Group.
The borne of Mrs. Chester Salisbury, 1900 Tahuna Ter., Corona
del Mar, will be transformed into the Parisian settlng--complete even
to the sidewalk awnings-for the event, to begin at 10 a.m.
La Boutique has been added to the many offerings of the Market
this year, and will feature accessories created by Irvine Terrace mem·
bers expressly for the sale. Another innovation, planners promise, will
• be the sale of a group of selected cocktail, formal and debutante gowDJ,
many of which have made only one public ippearance. Among these . . ..
are several designer modeb:, including an E,,.tevez and a Sophie Original.
Varied and appealing b»rgains are offered among a &etting of
tldewalk boothl and cafes. Among them will be objects d'art, flowers,
books, bats and handbags.
Plam are being made to accommodate more than 500 guests,
according to Irvine Terrace music Jover• who are readying the event. .. The llring room and dining rooms or the SaliJbury residence
will have acceuories added by Jacqueline Cagle, interior de!iigner for
Lamplight lnlerlors, to create a memorable setting. Cantrell's or Bal-
boa island wW have a stall at the Flea Market, and Theresa Paddock
Hope, portrait artiat, will be on hand to sketch guesb.
Ticket. for the Market, to benefit the Orange County Phil·
barmonJc Society, may be purchased from any rriember of· the ITVine
Terrace Pbilbannonic Group, and also will be available at the door.
