TITLE: Appointment to the Aviation Committee
ABSTRACT -
The Aviation Committee District 6 Alternate seat is currently vacant. It is the desire of
Council Member Scott Peotter to make an appointment, subject to City Council
confirmation.
RECOMMENDATION:
a) Determine that the action is exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act
(CEQA) pursuant to Sections 15060(c)(2) and 15060(c)(3) of the CEQA Guidelines
because it will not result in a physical change to the environment, directly or indirectly;
and
b) Confirm Council Member Peotter's appointment of G. Scott Bergey as the District 6
Alternate Member to the Aviation Committee.
FUNDING REQUIREMENTS:
There is no fiscal impact related to this item.
DISCUSSION:
Resolution No. 2011-31, which established the membership of the Aviation Committee
states, in part, that the Aviation Committee shall consist of seven members, one from
each City Council District, nominated by the District Council Member and confirmed by
the City Council; seven alternates, one from each City Council District, nominated by the
District Council Member and confirmed by the City Council; and a member of the General
Aviation Community, nominated by the Mayor and confirmed by the City Council.
The District 6 alternate position is vacant and Council Member Peotter has nominated
G. Scott Bergey to fill the seat.

result in a direct or reasonably foreseeable indirect physical change in the environment)
and 15060(c)(3) (the activity is not a project as defined in Section 15378) of the CEQA
