Re: Request for Continued Funding Support for NBRA BID
Dear Mayor Duffy and City Council Members,
Received After Agenda Printed
June 12, 2018
Item No. 5
The NBRA Board of Directors have met to discuss the City Council's request of a transition of the
BID's structure to that pursuant to the Property and Business Improvement District Law of 1994.
The NBRA Board responds to the City Council that the NBRA Board is moving to investigate and
evaluate the merits of the 1994 BID.
On behalf of the Advisory Board of Directors for the Newport Beach Restaurant Association
Business Improvement District (LABRA BID), we would like a continuation of the 1989 BID and
additional funding of $40,000 for the Fiscal Year 2019.
On behalf of the LABRA BID, we greatly appreciate the City Council's funding to support the NBRA
BID, and we look forward to continuing to showcase the local culinary community that will increase
diner frequency and generate local culinary sales.
Thank you in advance.
Sinc ely,
Jordan Otterbein
