Symphony Orchestra will record
its first commercial release in
seven years through a deal with
the world's largest independent
distributor or classical recordings,
it was announced Monday. _
The orchestra, under music di-
rector Carl St Oa.it. will' record
John Corigl1ano's Piano Concerto,
with french·Canadiao pianist
Alain Lefevre, and other works to
be named later.
The recording, which will be
available on compact disc thro~Jh
the KOCH International Classics
label, will be m:ide in the Orange
County Performing Arts Center
after the Corigli:ino concerto is
performed there next February as
part of PSO Cl:issics Series.
II will be the orchestra's first re-
cording under St. Oair and its
first since :a hvc recording from
1he center of Berliot., Strauss and
Resphigi rcle:ised in 1987 by Pro
Ane.
