seniors need a full medical check-up before starting an

If you're doubtful about you r condition, get doctor's

WHAT ., .............................................................................. .
Bitchwcar International created an upscale
line of women's sweatshim, T-shirts and other
items featuring such slogans as "A Perfect
Bitch is Special and Rare," "I'm Easy to
Please, as Long as I Oct My Way" and
·'Precious Bitch." Waters and Franks began
tc ting the products last fall at the Orange
County Marketplace and now sell by mail order.
Sales arc currently generated strictly by word of
mouth. "It went over like gang-busters," Waters
said of the ca.rly test marketing. "We could not
order it fa st enough. We'd buy what we thought
was a month's supply and sell it all on a
Saturday."
Waters and Franks are in the process of
setting up a \\-holesalc division that will market
the product to retailers through outside brokers.
The T-shirts retail for S25, and the sweatshirts
list for S35 . Bitchwcar also offers hats and
canvas bags and will add other items, such as
keychains, coffee cups and beach towels.
•
"It's fun. it makes people smile, it 's different
and it's classy," Franks said. Waters said the
product is aimed at professional women who
arc confident, intelligent and have a sense of
humor, but it is not popular with women who
fit the negative meaning of the word.
WHEN ........................................................... ,.~ ............... .
For Franks' birthday last July, Waters had a
shirt made that said, "A Perfect Bitch is Special
and Rare." He said ir went over so well with
Franks and her friends that the rwo former
business associates began talking about starting
a company called Bitchwear. They founded the
company last September.
