from USC, Avery \\Orkcd as a boating
writer for the Orange County Register
and a freelance magazine v.Titer. He
joined Orange Coast College in 1980 as
a sailing instructor to supplement his
income, becoming director of the
college Sailing Center in 1990. "This as
