Recently the Mesa Consolidated Water
Di~trict adopted a steep incrc1se in
rates. They said that the major reason
was an increase in the cost of water.
The biggest increase of the cost of
water came form a fee 1hcll we ure
charged for the water we pump from
our wells. Seventy percent of tl1c water
we consume comes from wells locntcd
in Coiilil Mesa.
Part of the rcoson thi:c. fee v.'Cnt up
