Tyrone Braxton, Denver, defensive
back. Al the 1987 NFL draft in New
York, there were 335 picks overall. Den-
ver was on the clock.: and was choosing ·
· No. 334. At the same time, I was at the
Green Bay desk, where they were going
to pick No. 335 and last, a.k.a Mr. Irrel-
evant While waitmg for Denver, the
Green Bay representatives handed me
their finaJ draft pick, which l was to
announce from the stage.
The name on the card was Tyrone
Braxton, DB, North Dakotd State.
It was necessary to wait for the Den-
ver announcement, which was then rea
from the podium ... Tyrone Braxton, DB,
North Dakota State. Green Bay then
changed the name on their card and
cho e Nonnan Jefferson.
The moral of the story is Tyrone Brax-
ton, now in his 12th year, could very well
have been d Grl'en Bay Packer and,
even more lmportant, Mr. Irrelevant!

KIDS AND

A new regulation from the National
Highway Safety Administration
allow parent!'! to install an on-off

they cannot avoid having children

This mt'a~urc removes any
