check over to foundation public

The massive donation had board

Cannon said she cried and •was

The donation will put the theater

member Steve Bromberg, who
added that he expects the Balboa
now has enough funds to open on
schedule in the fall of next year.
The foundation, made up of 11
board members, has spent almost
five years raising money to rebuild
the community landmark.
The theater's entire interior and
extenor will be redesigned
Early estimates had placed
rebuilding costs at $1 million. But
this summer, after taking a clo ec
look, architects and construction
consults upped costs to about $3
million.
The donation by John and Donna
Crean gives the foundation a total•
of about $2 million.
Although the Creans were not
available for comment on Sunday,
they dtd issue a short media state-

or if you would hke to replicate

Here are their seven habits
for success:
l. Study a nunimum of three
hours a day, seven days a week.
If you complete your h~mework
before tile three hours, use thP
extra bme for review. You will
gain the most out of studying m
a qwet, relaxing cltmosphere
where there are no chstracbons.
We suggest studymg m a library.
If you study m a quiet secluded
area outside your home, you
won't be mterrupted by siblings,
teleVislon, the phone, etc. (My
note· Parents can make homes
quiet and perfect for studying
by controlling the phone. the
computer, and the 1V.)
2. Take notes for each class
lesson and make outlines or
any material read.
3. Read your notes and ovt-
Lines every day from beginning
to end for each class.
4. Read at least one chapter
dhead m each class and ask
questions about the sect.Jons
you don't understand.
-Flavorful &

Lunches&
Dinner
5. Stnve to master each les-
son before moving ahead.
6. Enroll m English, saence,
and math every semester at the
highest level you c~ master.
7 Tutor other students.
Tutonng mcreascs your knowl-
edge. It requires that you hdve
d clear dnd thorough under-
stancling of your malenal, so
that you can reiterdte it to oth-
ers.
