As a floor installer, Williams puts
in everyttung from la.mmate to hard-
wood, ceranuc tile to natural stones.

steps -measure the room. allow the

before they are fitted lnto place.

Williams has completed some
major flooring jobs in his time, and
some odd ones too. Last year, be
and his crew re-carpeted 50 Amtrak
train cars. He bad to travel to Oak-
land.
He has done a lot of work for hos-
pitals, Cal St.ate Long Beach, even a
casino and handful of restaurants on
Cat.alinA Island.
He also carpeted the barracks of
the MecArthur Air Force Bue in San
Pedro.
His latest job is laying down car-
pel in the Terminal Island pnson.
The 62-yeer-old noor veteran lives
in Anaheim. He started work for
John Bloeser in 1957 as an appren-
t1ce.
His love affair with wood bu con-
tinued to this day. Williams even
bwlds cabinets and other furruture m
bis off bme.
