Those decisions came as the council met thts week to narrow down what it hopes to accomplish during the coming years. At the Monday meeting, council members approved t 8 goals that were outlined and discu sed at a speoal Saturday meeting last month. Owing that meeting. the council, the Planning Commission and the Parks. RecreaUonaJ Facilities and Parkways Commission i~en· tified the tssues they want resolved. Finance Director Marc Puckett said there have been 202.conununity objec· lives outlined. with 138 completed. Oty leaders also will focus on guaranteeing the use of half the anticipated revenues from the futUJ'e lkea fumJture store -lated to be built on the Home Ranch site just north of the San Diego Free· way -to fund a bond to place utilities underground citywide.
