"It took 2~ years to develop my own

Fleming said.
Fleming wouldn't exactly call his

Big City Caramel Com Co. Isn't as big
as the name suggests. To fluff the
business essentially from a kernel to a
hot, golden nugget, Fleming. 50,
recentJy recruited a director of
operations, Matt Perry, 26, and a sales
manager, Brett Wiseman, 23, to bring
the total workforce tally to three.
Coincidentally, all three men are
Corona de! Mar High School graduates,
Fleming said.

"We've already done a lot of sales,
and a good number have already
reserved days that they want their

ship it out the same day, but there are
only two or three of us ma.king it and

UC lrvine political science
professor 1.A>uis DeSipio said the

This is the first year California
has permitted early voting for
non-absentees, DeSiplo said.
Early voters are more polariud

election day, he said. That would
most likely equate to more early
right-wing votes in Orange
County, he said. .
"Some voters a,e maldng up

in the early voters than those

What Costa Mesa really
needed was the time off for the

was fine with Baldwin.
"We had a slow week.· so we
didn't practice that hard," Bald-

Baldwin said the time away

will benefit those with lingering
