7.30 P.M.date and place above shown.
President I7.K.Parkinson called the mooting to order and there
responded to roll call trustcgs: :°.I {.Parkinnon;S.R.Jumpor; H.A.
Robinson;C.H.CIay and G.P.7,,tlson. Absent nono,.
The minutes of the mooting of July 27th, 1914.i7ere read and approved. '
the reports of tho heads of tho various dopartmonts,for the month of
July, were read,accoptcd an6 filed.
Communications were read and referred to proper order of business.
Unfinished business:-Lr J.Ferguson withdrew the application for
permission to orect a building on his bay front wham' and clor'i was
instructed to return his application with aecomp +nytng papers.
The application of -the Jackson- 13,orton Company. for permission to
erect a buildinE on thcip eharf on the Bay Front was rejected. and
permission rofused on motion of trustee C.H.: .'ay,aocondod by trustee .
H.A.Robinson and carried. .

to their pavilion on'tho Pay front; hich.was presented July 13th,
and not allowed on Jul,; 27th,Tas furthor conpAdered and rejected and '

New Business: -Undor the head of now businoss,trusteo H.A.Robinson
presented ordinance number.' ' 0,2 boin3 an ordinance,coacerning the
issuaneo and sale of the bonds of the city ofVowport Beach.in the
sum of 020,000.00 for,th9 acquisition and construction of.a municipals
Improvement to -wit: an electric street lighting system. The ordinance
was road for the first time and on motion of trustee G.P.Wilson,
seconded by trustee S.R.Jumper and carricd,tl.e sano ryas passed to
the second reading and referred to the city attorney for consideration.
Lotter from the Abstract and Title Guaranty Co of Santa Ana notlfyin
of deod for lot 19 block 26 Idowport Beach being in thoir handy to
turn over to the City on racoipt of 0350.00 the price named on said
lot,was ordered filod,and inot,-actod to forward warrant for
the said amount.
Lotter from C.L.Lancastor callirk3 attention to the expiration og the
lease of lot 10,bloclz 227,Soc A;and ordering the vacating of same
was referred to Street Supt J.E.Barlser with instructions to comply.
Communication from the Southern California Disinfecting Co,callin
attention to their goods and ei: closing bill,was filed.
The Clerk was instructed to make needed transfers from the General
to the other funda,and from the General fund of the water account to
other funds of that account as noodod.
Moved by trustee C.H.17ay,secondod by trustee H.A.Robinson that Mr
Carter be allowed a refund of taxes twice paid domond to show full
details of samo.Carriod.
Demands # /0 (0 to # /q I Yipproved by the finance committee, were
presented and were allowed and warrants ordered drawn on motion of
trustee H.A.Robinson,seconded by trustee C.H.Way and carried.
On motion of trustee C.H.':?ay,geconded by trustee S.R.Juiaper,and
carriod,Street Supt J.E.Barker was instructed to offer P4rs Neitz
550.00 for the corner of her lot needed to straighten out street;
and if not taken to notify that condemnation proceedings mould be

Truatce H.A.Robinson called attention to �oosible variation In the

IBarkor stated that final figurao could bo ready by nont mooting and
that city Engineer claimed thero could not be onouph difforonce to
,change the statue of the c:>vcral bfddora on tho cork in question.
Clerk called attention to th^ fact that tho Tax -Roll for tho oL— r.:r.t,
year was complete and on caMbttion until the modtin3 of the Boars�
of Equalization ten oclock A.u.Eonday August, 10th,1t'14.
