The Board of Trustees of the City of Newport Beach met in regular Cession 2:30 P.M. date and place above shown_. President Parkinson called the meeting to order and roll call showed there were present Trustees W. K. Parkinson, S. R. Jumper, H. A. Robinson, C. H. Way and J. P. '9il.son. None absent. The minutes of the meetings of November 8th, 15th, 22nd, 1915, were , read and approved. The reports of the heads od various departments for the month of November 1915 were read and were accepted and filed on motion of Trustee H. A. Robinson, seconded by Trustee G. P. '.%lson, and carried. The report of City Engineer Weber on map of subdivision presented by F. Pi. Harding showed that streets in the proposed track do nmt conform to those in neighboring tracts. -Map was referred back to Mr. Harding for :onferonce with Engineer. Various communications read and referred to proper order Of business Unfinished business. Ordinance No. 11-8 was road for the second time, the same being an ordinance of the City of liewnort Beach adopt- ing specifications for the construction of cement sidowalks, speci- fications fop the construction of cement curbs, specifications for the construction of cross walks and specifications for clay and gravel capping of streets in the City of Newport Beach. Moved. by Trustee H. A. Robinson„ seconded by Tr ustree C. H. Way, zxdxxxxacAadxkhat Ordinance No. 118 be put on final passage. Thaxxalixaax Discussion followed resulting in withdrawal of motion with consent of second, moved by Trustee S. R. Jumper, seconded by Trustee H. A. Robinson, and carried that passage of Ordinance No. 118 be laid over until next ' meeting and specifications referred to therein referred to City En- gineer Weber. Moved by Trustee H. A. Robinson, seconded by Trustee H. A. Way and carried that the Clerk be instructed to notify F.O. Engstrum Company that a portion of the uncompleted street lighting system must be installed by them for existing contract. Data to be furniahod Clerk by the Street Superintendent and Street Committee. Attorney Bishop advised in the matter of shortage on lamp post basis; that action against sub- conyractor rather than against Engstrum & Company would be necessary for the securing of damages. The demand of kha A. H. Pease for the amount due on sidewalk built by him for the City was referred to Street Superintendent Barker for re= port. New business. The Clerk requested that a credit (5 42.26 be allowed - in delinauent tax account. Throlgh an error in booking in lot 9, lot: 53 river section has delinquent when taxes on same had been paid. Moved by Trustee H. A. Robinson, seconded by Trustee S. R. Jumper and carried that request be allowed and delinquent list credited accvd- ingly. Marshal Porter requested cancellation of the following business ' hxxkmH lienses No. 256 Balboa Pharmacy, amount 47.50, No. 270 Frank. Wilson dray 415.00, No. 242 Fred Rowell drug store, amount 47.50. Cancellation requested account „artier not in buiness. Moved by Trustee G. P. Wilson seconded by Trustee H. E.. Robisnon and carried at request be granted and the specified lienses be cancelled. Contract with the H. •r1. John;;- Yanville Company for electric lamps was presented and on motion of Trustee C. H. Way, seconded by Trustee G. P. Wilson and carried, President Parksinson was authorized and in- structed to sign same on behalf of the City. The request of the Southern California Auto Club to be allowed to place certain signs on the City streets was granted placing of same to be approved by Street Superintendent. Demands numbers 356 to 441 were presented, approved by the Finance 1CNZA 95 Committee were presented, moved by Trustee H. A. Robirson, seconded by Trustee C. H. ' =Jay and carried that said demands be allowed. Moved by Trustee G. P. Nilson, seconded by Trustee S. R. Jumper that adjournment be taken to 7:30 P.M.
