City Hall,Newport Beach,Calif.December 13th,1915.
The Board of Trustees of the city of Newport Beach met in adjourned '
sessIn 7.30 P.M.date and place above shown.
In the absence of President Parkinson the clerk called the meeting
to order and on motion of trustee G.P.Wilson,seconded by trustee
H.A.Robinson and carried,trustee S.R.Jumper was elected president
pro -tem and at once took the chair and ordered the roll dalled.
The following trustees answered to roll call.S.R.Jumper;H.A.Robinson;l
'
C.H.Way and G.P.'Nilson.Absent trustee W.K.Parkinson.

The committee having in hand the naming /of lamp po3`_e to be placed
under existing contract with the P.O.Engstrom Co.made report which I
was reffered to the clerk to use in his notice to the Engstrom Co.
Ordinance #118 was read for the second time,being an ordinance of the.
city of Newport Beach adopting specifications for the construction
of cement sidewalks,cement curbs,construction of cross walks and for
clay and gravel capping of streets in the city of Newport Beach.
Moved by trustee H.A.Robinson-seconded by trustee C.H.Way,and carried .
that ordinance #118 be put on final passage.Vote taken on roll call
as follows,ayes:trustees S.R.Jumper;.A.Robinson;C.H.'. "Jay and G.P. 1
Wilson.Noes none.Absent trustee :W.H.Parkinson.President Jumper
declared crdinance #118 passed.
New business: -The `Pax - Collector having delivered and filed with the '
clerk a complete delinquent tax list,and returned the assessment roll:
and the same havi,ig been carefully compared,and the Board of Trustees;
being satisfied that it contains a full statement of all the taxes
remaining unpaid;the tax - collector was credited t.ierewith and with
all taxes charged against him on motion of trustee C.H.P7ay seconded
by trustee H.A.Robinson and carried and the clerk was directed to '
charge the Tax - Collector again with the amount of taxes due on
delin3,E,nt tax list amounting to b2,432.99 togather with 10% as
penalty,amounting to �243.69,and an additional sum of fifty cents
on each lot,piece or parcel of land seperately assessed and on each
piece of personal property so delinquent,amounting to ��294.00
Demands #442 -443 and 444 approved by the finance committee were !
presented and were allowed and warrants ordered drawn on motion of
trustee G.P.Wilson,seconded by trustee H.A.Robinson and carried.
The report of the street supt stating his reasons for not approving
the bill for_sidewalking in front of the city hall wqs read and filed,.

Street Supt Barker was instructed to furnisn city attorney Bishop
needed data as to amount paid H.Clay Kellogg and his assisstant as i
inspector in the matter of the inspection of the street lighting
s Yc tem installation.
Assistant 'Hater Supt Crego was authorized to act on the municipal tre
committee with permission to go to Los Angeles in the matter, i
Moved by trustee H.A.Robinson seconded by trustee G.P.Wilson and
carried that adjournment be taken to 7.30 P.M.Monday December 2(,U.,
