President Jumper called the meeting to order and the roll was Gallo,
showing there were present, Trustees, S.R.Jiurtper, 7,lenn Helms, G.F.

Renorts of the heads of the various departments for the month of
October were read and on motion of trustee, G.F.:7ilson, seconded by
trustee, H.A.Robinson and carried, were accepted and filed..
Communications;
Conmunicatio-as were read and referred to proper order of business.

On motion of trustee H.A.Robinson seconded by trustee
J.C.I,IcCain and carried, that the board of trustees offer _"or sale
at private sale, 208 of ti:e Jetty Fonds, being 78 $PI OQO-.00 bonds,
26 X500.00 bonds, 78 M1OO.00 bonds, and 26 ,"x106.25 bonds aggregatin:
;'101,562.50 and that the Clerk notify the State Board of Control

Letter from L.G.Svrales was read asking that the Clerk be instructed
to notify his bondsmen that his contract f ^r the hau.lin^ of the cit:
garbage had been satisfactorly completed. The Clerk was instructed
to notify his bondsmen of the completion of the contract.
Letter from C of C in /re dam across S.A.River;
Letter from the Chamber of Com-lerce calling attention to the recoumi-
endation of Captain Leeds that a dam be thrown across the Santa :�na
Rive at Bitter Point, was read urging the Board to take the necess-
ar- steps in the matter prior to the coming flood period, was filed.
E. 11c.7illiams letter in re/ purchase of Jetty Bonds;
Letter from Edward. Me i°i'liams of Santa Ana, Cal., offering to pur-
chas the Jetty Bonds at private sale was filed.
HARDING BULXHEAD ?ETITION:
F. :7. Harding aa•ain presented a petition signed by a majority of th
property owners East of 1.1ain Street in Balboa, asking the Board to
start proceedings for the installation of the Harding bulkhead alon
the Ocean Front in that district. The petition was referred to a
committee of the whole to check u-o ind report at the next meeting.
Calling meeting of the Harbor Commission;
Moved by trustee, H.A.Robinson seconded by trustee, J.C.j,IOCain and
carried that the Clerk be instructed to notify the Gentlemen appoin
ted on the Harbor Commission of ti_eir appointment and requesting
them to org&nize and meet w'th t'r_e Board, Thursday evening hov,9th,
1916, at 7:30 111.11.

Sewer flooding The i7illi:_ms House;
Trustee J.C.L:cCair_ reported that it was the city sewer and not a
private sewer that flooded the Williams residence, and that the
damage -resulting from the overflow was estimated to be ;!38.50.
I:ioved by trustee J.C.I,ieCain sedonded by trustee Glenn Helms and
carried that the bill be allo,, ✓ed.
Demands :allowed;
Moved by trustee H. .Robinson seconded by trustee J.C.IcCain and
carried that demands X452 to x526 inclusive, having been si -ned by
the Finance Committee, be allowed and warr-nts ordered drawn to cove l.
Adjourn;
Idoved by trustee G.P.Jilson seconded by trustee Glenn 'ielmc and
carried that adjournment be taken to 7:30 P.M. Thursday I'ovember
9th, 1916. Adjourned.
