City Hall, Newport Beach,,Cal. Dec,.4th, 1916.
The Board of Trustees of the city of Newport Beach met in regular
session 7:30 P.M. Monday December 4th,1916.
President Jumper called the meeting to order and the roll was called
showing there were present trustees, S.R.Jumper, Glenn Helms, G.P.
Wilson, H.A.Robinson and J.C.McCain, Absent; None.
'
Minutes of the meeting,of November 13th,were read. and approved.
Reports of the heads of the various departments for the month of
November were read and on motion of trustee G.P.Wilson seconded by
trustee Glenn Helms and carried were accepted and ordered filed.
Communications;
Communications were read and referred to proper order of business.
UNFINISHED BUSINESS; Bids for Jetty Bonds
This being the date set for the receiving of bid

for the "Jetty Bonds" the Clerk was instructed to open the bids in

his hands, which were as follows;.

Moved by trustee G.P.Wilson seconded by trustee H.A.Robinson and
carried that the bids be taken under consideration to 7:30 P.M.
Dec 6th, 1916.
On motion of trustee H.A.Robinson seconded by trustee G.P.111ilson
and carried that the motion heretofore made continuing further
consideration of the bids for the "Jetty Bonds" to Ciednesday Dec,
6th, 1916, at 7:30 P.M. be and is hereby set aside and vacated.

On motion of trustee H.A.Robinson seconded by trustee
Glenn Helms and carried that all bids for the Jetty Bonds, except
the bid of G.G.Blymyer & Co be rejected and the bid of G.G.Blymyer
&y Co be accepted and the bonds sold to said company.
Letter from Atty J.Stariford concerning accident at 30th, street .
was referred to City Atty Bishop.
Moved by trustee G.P.71ilson seconded by trustee H.A.Robinson and
carried that the contract of the Westinghouse Lamp Co to furnish
the City.with electrie'light globes, be accented and the President
and Clerk be authorized to execute the same.
Letter from Mr J.K.Horne of Harper Cal concerning accident to his
automobile at the 23rd, street crossing, was ordered filed on motion
of trustee, J.C.McCain seconded by trustee, G.P.Wilson and carried.
Letter from Mr. C. M. Gordon declining to serve on the Newport
Harbor Commission, Moved by trustee, H.A.Robinson seconded by
trustee, G.P.':lilson, and carried that the resignation of Mr Gordon
be accepted and that the Board appoint some one else to fill the

vacancy.
Moved by trustee G.P.C'ilson seconded by trustee J.C.McCain and
carried that Demands # 527 to #593 inclusive, having been signed
and approved by the finance committee, be allowed and warrants
drawn to cover.
.Moved by trustee H.A.Robinson seconded by trustee J.C.McCain and
carried that the matter of the garbage incinerator be referred
to the street committee and Asst Engineer Elsworth for plans
and probable cost.
Moved by trustee, G.P.Plilson seconded by trustee Glenn Helms and
carried that adjournment be taken to 7:30 P.M. Monday, Dece1,1916.
