The Board of Trustees of the City of Newport Beach met in regu-
lar session at the place and hour above noted. The roll vies called m
all the members of the Board were present as follows: Trustees J.P.
Greeley, J. J. Schnitker ,Geo.P.i7ilson,J.C.I,:CCain and L.S.. "ilkinson.
The minutes of I:iarch 3rd were read and approved as read except
that.it was desired that the minutes should shoo that in the report
of the Fire and ;later Committee,they did not approve of the purchase
of new fire apparatus at this time..
Report vies made of the Committee of the Whole on the matter of
ferry. .
The communications were read and referred to the proper order of
business.
The report of Paul F.Kressly,city engineer,in the matter of
dredging was read.,It vies moved by Trustee L.S.7ilkinson,seconded by
Trustee. J.C. ".•:icCain and carried that the same be referred back to the
Engineer and that the width and depth of the channel to be dredged be
figured so as provide for a channel to deep water so as to come with-
in the funds.provided for dredging; also that he should confer with
Dr.Soiland to ascertain what portion of the expense of dredging ancho
age he would be willing to bear.
Trustee L.S.Wilkinson reported on the water situation on I'etrport
ights. It was moved by Trustee J.J.Schnitker,seconded by Trustee
o .P.l'iilson and carried,that request of Fr^nk L.Dodge for refund of
cessive writer tax be laid over till the matter could be taken up
th the Nevl�ort Heights Irrigation District for adjustment.
Ordinance No.148,providing for the numbering of houses,wis passe

arbor improvement,was presented for final adoption. It was moved by
