On motion-of Trustee L. S. ;7ilkinson seconded by Trustee
Conrad Richter and carried, the action as outlined by City Attorney
Bishop was to be follo, zed out.
The request of Burris and Irwin �iskinc that the Board of
Trustees endeavor to compel the Pacific Electric Railway Co. to
reopen the crossing on129th Street was brought up and discussed,
and on motion of Trustee Art L. Heard seconded by Trustee J. J.
Schnitker ,nd c r-ri�d, the.City Clerk was instructed to,write to the
P. E. Officials setting forth the f,:cts -.nd ascertain their attitude
in the matter in regard to the grade crossing.
On motion of Trustee L. S. IJil.rinson seconded by Trustee J.J.
Schnitker and carried, that demands No. 1 to 102 inclusive, having
been signed and approved by the finance committee, be allowed and
warrants drawn for same.
The Board of Equalization to meet one week from today at
10:00 A. M.
On motion of Trustee J. J. Schnitker seconded by Trustee L.S.
Wilkinson and carried, the meeting adjourned Sine Die.

The Board of Trustees of the City of Newport Beach met in
regular session on above date at 7:30 P. 1%
The President of the Board being absent on motion of Trustee
Art L. Heard seconded by Trustee Conrad Richter and carried, Trustee
J. J. Schnitker was elected chairman for the evening.
Chairman Schnitker then called the meeting to order and the
roll was called as follows: Present, Trustees J. J. Schnitker, Art.
L. Heard, Conrad Richter and L. S. 19ilkinson.
Absent, Trustee J. P. Greeley.
This being a legal holiday on motion of'Trustee Conrad Richte
seconded by Trustee Art L. Heard and carried, the meeting adjourned
to Tuesday, Sept. 7, 1920 at 7:30 P. S.I.
