City Hall, Newport Beach, July 4, 1921.
The Board of Trustees of the City of Newport Beach met in
regular session at 7:30 o'clock P. M. on above date. The President
of the Board being absent on motion of Trustee L. S. Wilkinson
seconded by Trustee Conrad Richter and carried, Trustee J. J.
'Schnitker was elected chairman for the evening.
Chairman Schnitker called the meeting to order and the roll
lwas called as follows: Present, Trustees J. J. Schnitker, Geo. P.
,Wilson, Conrad Richter, L. S. Wilkinson. Absent Trustee J.P.Greeley
This being a legal Vloliday on motion of Trustee Geo. P. Wilson
,seconded by Trustee L. S. Wilkinson and carried, the meeting adjourne
!to Tuesday, July 5, 1921 at 7:30 o'clock P. M.

The Board of Trustees of the City of Newport Beach me in
regular session at 7:30 o'clock P. M. on above date. The meeting
was called to order by President J. P. Greeley.
The roll was called as follows: Present, Trustees J. P.
Greeley, J. J. Schnitker, Geo. P. Wilson, Conrad Richter, L. S.
Wilkinson. Absent. Trustees None.
The minutes of the previous adjourned meeting and the regular
meeting of July 4th were read and approved.
I The reports from the heads of the various departments for the
month of June and also the yearly reports were read, and on motion of
Trustee J. J. Schnitker seconded by Trustee Geo. P. Wilson and
Parried, the reports were accepted and ordered filed.
The communications were read and referred to the proper order
of business.
NEW BUSINESS.

On motion of Trustee J. J. Schnitker seconded by Trustee Geo.
P. Wilson and carried, the 30 applications for business and game
licenses were granted, with the proviso that the license collector is
to insert the correct location on those applications where it is not
already given.
The communication from the Women's Civic League asking that
a Park Committee be appointed from the City to meet with their
Committee, was taken up and on motion of Trustee L. S. Wilkinson
seconded by Trustee Conrad Richter and carried, such a committee was
to be appointed.
Trustee Richter presented a petition from the people living or
Newport Heights asking the City to try and help them get electric
lights from the Edison Company's new sub - station on South Main Street,
and on motion of Trustee Conrad Richter seconded by Trustee Geo. P.
Vdilson and carried, the Clerk was instructed to correspond with the
Edison Company in regard to the extension of the 0osta A:iesa line to
Newport Heights.
