City Hall, Newport Beach, Apra 11, 1922.
The Board of Trustees of the City of Newport Beach met in
regular adjourned session at 7:30 o'clock P. M. on the above date.
The meeting was called to order by rresident J. P. Greeley.
The roll was called showing the full Board present.
The minutes of the adjourned meetings of April 3 and April
6th were read and approved.
In re.- Sale of bonds.
It appearing to the Board of Trustees that no bids had been
received for the bonds of the.City in the sum of $21;000.00 for the
.construction of a bridge in and for said City, pursuant to the
notice thereof, and the bonds remain unsold, Trustee J. J. Schnitker
.introduced a Resolution amending Sections 4 and 6 of Resolution No.
162. The Resolution was ordered filed, read, considered, and
designated Resolution No. 169; the roll was called and the Resoluti0
adopted' by the d11 w 'g vole:
Ayes, Trustees J. P. Greeley, J. J. Schnitker, Geo. P. Wilso ,
Conrad Richter, 0. H. Burke.
Noes, Trustees None,
Absent, Trustees None.
Aronson & Company being present offered the City of Newport
Beach for the 21 bonds the par value thereof, $21,000.00, accumulat
interest thereon at the date of delivery, and a premium of 050.00.
The Board of Trustees accepted the bid and awarded the sale thereof
to Aronson & Company.
The City Attorney was instructed to abstract the proceedings,
leading up to the issuance and sale of these bonds, and to deliver
the same to Aronson & Company for examination.
On motion of Trustee Geo. P. Wilson secondea by Trustee J. J.
Schnitker and carried, the request of Thomas Haverty Company for 60
days extension of time in which to complete the sewer, was grantedg
On motion of Trustee J. J. Schnitker seconded by Trustee 0. H
Burke and carried, the matter of Thomas Haverty Company filling in
part of the City Channel with sand was referred to the City Engineer-
for attention.
On motion of Trustee U. J. Schnitker seconded by Trustee O.H
Burke and carried, the matter of kind of posts to use for lighting
the Washington Street Pier was left with the Street Committee and
Street Superintendent.
RESOLUTION NO. 167.
"A Resolution of the Board of Trustees of the City of
Newport Beach adopting.certain plans £ror the improvement of
Central Avenue and other.streets, avenues and alleys in said City."
On motion of Trustee Schnitker seconded by Trustee Geo. P.
Wilson the roregoing Resolution was adopted by the following vote;
Ayes, Trustees J. P. Greeley, J. J. Schnitker, Geo. P. Wilson
Conrad Richter, 0. H. Burke.
Noes, Trustees None,
Absent, Trustees None.
RESOLUTION NO. 168.
"A Resolution of the Board of Trustees of the City of
Newport Beach declaring their intention to order the
improvement of Central Avenue and certain other streets
and avenues, and of certain alleys, and to change the
grades of certain portions of streets and avenues under the
Improvement Act of 1911."
On motion of Trustee Geo. P. Wilson seconded by Trustee J. J.
Schnitker the foregoing Resolution was adopted by the following vote
Ayes, Trustees J. P. Greeley, J. J. Schnitker, Geo. P. Wilson
Conrad Richter, 0. H. Burke.

Absent, Trustees None.
The matter of folders for advertising our City was discussed
and on motion of Trywtee Conrad Richter seconded by Trustee Geo. P.
Wilson and carried, the Chair was authorized to appoint a Committee
of three to select the size, get prices and with power to act in the
matter by the following vote:
Ayes, Trustees J. P. Greeley, J. J. Schnitker, Geo. P. Wilson;
Conrad Richter, u. H. Burke.
Noes, Trustees None,
Absent, Trustees None.
The Committee appointed were Trustees J. J. Schnitker, Geo. P.1
Wilson and 0. H. Burke. j
The Board then adjourned to an executive session to consider a
matter, after which on motion,of Trustee 0. H. Burke seconded by
Trustee Conrad Richter and carried, the meeting adjourned to 7:30
o1clock P. M. on Monday, April 170 1922.
