Pursuant to a call thereof by the President of the Board of Trustees, and notice delivered to each member at-least three hours before the time specified for the meeting, the Board of Trustees met at the place and on the date above mentioned at 2:00 o'clock P. Id. The meeting was called to order by President J. J. Schnitker. The roll was called showing all the members present except Trustee 0. H. Burke. The call was read and the Board proceeded to consider the first subject for which the meeting was called. , Trustee Conrad Richter introduced a Resolution entitled as follows: "A Resolution of the Board of Trustees of the City of Newport Beach declaring their intention to levy a special tax to provide for the delinquent assessments in connection with street improvements for which serial bonds will be issued under the Improvement Bond Act of 1915." The Resolution was ordered filed, read, considered, designated Resolution No. 183; the roll was called and the Resolution passed by the following vote: Ayes, Trustees J. J. Schnitker, H. C. Sloan, Geo. P. Wilson, Conrad Richter. Noes, Trustees None. Absent, Trustee 0. H. Burke.' The Board then proceeded to outline an industrial district which was to be incorporated in a report to the Board at the next meeting. No further business appearing on motion of Trustee Conrad Richter seconded by Trustee Geo. P. Wilson and carried, the meeting adjourned. .,, v r siden Board of Trustees. Attest: City Clerk. City Hall, Newport Beach, May 18, 1922. The Board of Trustees of the City of Newport Beach met in regular adjourned session at 7:30 o'clock P. 1.1. on above date. The meeting was called to order by President J. J. Schnitker. The roll was called showing the Trustees all present except Trustee O. H. Burke. The minutes of the meeting of May 15th were read and approved. The communications were read and referred to the proper order of business. On motion of Trustee Geo. P. Wilson seconded by Trustee H.C. Sloan and carried, Leeds & Barnard were allowed permission to use the City's Tide Gauges, the same to be returned in good shape. The communication from Chas. E. Stanton was tabled, the Clerk to notify him that the matter referred to was up to the property owners. . On motion of Trustee H. C. Sloan seconded by Trustee Geo. P. Wilson and carried, the application of Smith & Weiner for transfer of their business license in the Pavilion at Balboa to Finster &Whitson was granted.
