On motion of Trustee Geo. P. Wilson seconded by Trustee *�
H. C. Sloan the foregoing Resolution was adopted by the following vote:
Ayes, Trustees J. J. Schnitker, H. C. Sloan, Geo. P. Wilson,
Conrad Richter, L. S. Wilkinson.
Noes, Trustees None.
Absent, Trustees None.
On motion of Trustee H. C. Sloan seconded by Trustee Geo. P.
Wilson and carried, the meeting adjourned to 7:30 o'clock P. H. on
Thursday, June 1, 1922.

The Board of Trustees of the City of Newport Beach met in
regular adjourned session at 7:30 o'clock P. M. on above date. The
meeting was called to order by President J. J. Schnitker.
The roll was called showing all members present except
Trustee Geo. P. Wilson., I
The minutes of the meeting of May 29th were read. and approved.
The communications were read and referred to the proper order
of bd�siness.

ORDINANCE NO. 209, entitled:
"An Ordinance of the City of Newport Beach amending
Sections 7, 13, 33, 34 and 38 and adding six new
Sections to Ordinance No. 110 to be numbered
Sections 47a, 47b, 47c, 47d, 47e, 47f, and providing
for the payment of the license herein established."
came up for final passage, was read and considered; the roll
was called and the Ordinance passed by the vote of the following named
members of the Board of Trustees:
Ayes, Trustees J. J. Schnitker, H. C. Sloan, Conrad Richter,
L. S. Wilkinson.
Noes, Trustees None.
Absent, Trustee Geo. P. Nilson.

On motion of Trustee H. C. Sloan seconded by Trustee L. S.
Wilkinson and carried, demand No. 982 of the Valencia Orange Show
having been signed and approved by the Finance Committee, was allowed '
and warrant to be drawn for same.
On motion of Trustee L. S. Wilkinson seconded by Trustee
Conrad Richter and carried, demand No. 983 of the Newport Beach
Chamber of Commerce having been signed and approved by the Finance
Committee, was allowed and warrant to be dram for same when the
conditions stated in the demand are fulfilled.
On motion of Trustee L. S. Wilkinson seconded by Trustee
H. C. Sloan and carried, the Street Committee was instructed to put
the necessary sign on Palm Street, Balboa that anyone parking in the
center of the street is liable to prosecution.

On motion of Trustee H. C. Sloan seconded by Trustee L. S.
Wilkinson and carried, the application of H. B. Tudor, Administrator
for transfer of Lunch Counter License of C, N. Stewart to Gus B.
Tamplis was granted.
On motion of Trustee Conrad Richter seconded by Trustee H.C.
Sloan and carried, the request of the National Convention Committee
of Spanish War Veterans for a donation, was laid on the table and the
Clerk to notify them we were not in a position to comply.
On motion of Trustee L. S. Wilkinson seconded by Trustee
H. C. Sloan and carried, A. P. Thresher and Vivian A. Sebring were
' appointed as extra policemen to be paid at the rate of $5.00 per day
when on duty only.
On motion of Trustee Conrad Richter seconded by Trustee L.S.
Wilkinson and carried, W. J. Truax was appointed Camp Guardian at a
salary of $,125.00 per month, and also appointed an extra policeman
without extra pay.
On motion of Trustee H. C. Sloan seconded by T ;ustee L. S.
Wilkinson and carried, the meeting adjourned Sine Die.

The Board of Trustees of the City of Newport Beach met in
regular session at 7:30 o'clock P. I:I. on above date. The meeting
was called to order by President J. J. Schnitker.
The roll was called showing the full Board present.
The minIxtes of the meeting of June 1st were read and
approved.
The reports of the heads of the various departments were
read, and on !notion of Trustee Geo. P. Wilson seconded by Trustee L.S.
Wilkinson and carried, the reports were accepted and ordered filed.
The communications were read and referred to the
proper
order of business.
This being the day and hour set for opening bids
for a Diesel
Engine for the Pumping Plant, the Board in open session publicly
opened, examined and declared all bids received, which bids
are as
follows:

On motion of Trustee L. S. Wilkinson seconded by Trustee
H. C.
Sloan and carried, the bids were referred to a Committee of
the Whole
with the Water Superintendent and City Engineer to report on at the
next meeting.

RESOLUTION NO. 189, entitled as follows:
"A Resolution of the Board of Trustees of
the City of
Newport Beach ordering a part of Bay Avenue, an
open
public street in the City of Newport Beach closed,
vacated and abandoned."
