The matter of not all of the sc,,rer connections having been laid
up to the curb line on some of the streets to be paved; was taken up
and on motion of Trustee Goo. P. Wilson seconded by Trustee Conrad
Richter and carried, the City Clerl: was instructed to call the attention
of the Engineering depart.ient to it and h -.ve the connections broup:ht up
to the curb before the paving is started. '
The matter of so me senior connections havinc; been made ,iithout
bein7 inspected was discussed, and on motion of'Trustee Goo. P. Wilson
seconded by Trustee L. S. Wilkinson and carried, the Clerk ':;as instructed
to notify the City Engineer that the new connections rust be inspected.

enterin- the bay at F Street, Balboa, was referred to the Water Superin-
tendent.
On motion of Trustee L. S. Wilkinson seconded by Trustee Geo. P.
i7ilson and carried, the appropriation of 050.00 set aside at the last
meeting to advertise the ,?'1.00 round trip fare fror:i Los iingeles, ',ias
rescinded.
On motion of Trustee L. S. Wili-_inson seconded by Trustee Geo. P.
Wilson and carried, the Cleric ':;as instructed to call the attention of the
Street Superintendent to the condition of the alley along the ocean front
from Alvarado Street towards Balboa.
On ,aotion'of Trustee Geo. P. Ylilson seconded by Trustee Conrad
Richter :,.nd carried, the meeting adjourned Sine Die.

session at 7:30 o'clocl: P. ;.:, on above date. The ideating was ca17.od to
order by President J. J. Schnither.
The roll was called as follows— Trustoes J. J. Scimaitker,
Conrad Lichter, L. S. Wilkinson. Absent. Trustees H. C. Sloan, Geo. P.
Wilson. '
The reading of the minutes was omitted.
On motion of Trustee L. S. Wilkinson seconded by Trustoe Conrad

A Resolution of the '3oard of Trustees of the City of i'errport
Beach fixin^ the rate per centur: and levyin.; a tax upon_ all of the
tc_x :ble property .iithi:i the City of ! errport Deach ahich is taxable therein
for rair_icipal purposes. The 3oard of Trustees of the City of 1Tcrrport
Beach do resolve and declare as follows:

lst. Resolved that there be and is hereby levied upon all. of
the taxable property r;ithin the City of ITewport Beach which is taxable
therein for municipal purposes, a tax for the purpose of raisin.; the
necessary money r;ith which to carry on'the various depart -dents of the
City of Newport Beach for the current fideal year.
2d. Resolved that the rate per centura of the tax hereinafter
levied shall be and is hereby fixed at the sum of 100 cents on each
One Hundred. Dollars Q100.00) of value designated for each fund ,.s
follows:
For the Salary Fund, - - - - - - - 20 Cents,
For the Street Fund, - - - - - - - 42 Cents;
' For the Current Expense Fluid, - 35 Cents,
For the Library Fund - - - - 03 Cents,
Total ta,: levy, - - 100 Ccnts.
3d. Resolved that in addition to all other taxes herein
levied_ for r.2unicipal purposes, there is hereby levied on all of the
taxable pPOpe'ty •.,;thin the City of Tdetiport Beach, a tax for the purpose
of raisin; the necessary end sufficient money to pay the annual interest,
on all issued outstandin, -, and unpaid municipal bonds of the City of
Newport Beach, and also such part of the principal thereof as shall
become due before the time for fi: ;inn; the ne.;t general tax levy in and
for said City: the rate of the tat_ hereby levied for said purpose is
fixed :t 92 Cents on each One Hundred Dollars (%p10O.00) of value, and
the sane shall. be collected at the same'time and in the same manner as
all other municipal taxes are collected.
4th. Resolved that in addition to all other taxes herein
levied, there is hereby levied on all the taxable property within the
City of TTeE•rport Beach, a tax of 15 Cents on each One Hundred Dollars
($100.00) for .dVOr "tl ing purposes, pursuant to the provision of
-Ordinance 1To. 144 sub_cuitted to, and c_rried by a majority of the votes
of all. the voters voting- at an election held for the purpose of votin;3
for or against said 0-rdinance on the 24th day of September, 1913.
5th. Resolved that in addition to all other taxes herein
levied, ti is s hereby levied on all the taxable property within
Iamicipal Improvement District 110. 1 comprising all that portion of
the mainland of the City of iie,,iport Beach lying Easterly of 10th Street,
a tax of to Cents on each One hundred Dollars ( ?p100.00} for improve: lent
purposes, pursuant to the provision of Ordinance ido. 184 sub -.fitted to,
and carried by a majority of the votes of all the voters votin" at an
election held for the purpo-se of votin_, for or against said. Ordinance
on the 7th day of June,. 1921.
The above and foregoing Resolution was passed, adopted and
approver! by '-he Board of Trustees of the City of Tlexoort-Beach at a
regular meeting-• thereof held on the 4th day of September, 1923 by the
