The Resolution was read :nd considered., the roll was called
and the Resolution passed by the vote of the followinG named members
of the Board of Trustees.

Resolution !o. 205 havin` been passed by the vote of more than
two- thirds of-all the members of the Board of Trustees of the City of
Uerrport Beach, was certified by the Clerk.
The amount of bonds to be sold. out of the 4,60 000.00 issue of
the i- nicival Improvement District 1-To. 2 was discussed, and on motion of
Trustee L. S. 1ilkinson seconded by Trustee Conrad Richter $35,000.00 of
the bond issue was to be advertised for sale by the vote of the following
named members of the Board of Trustees:
Ayes, Trustees J. J. Schnitker, 11. C. Sloan, Conrad Richter,
L. S. Wilkinson.

Absent, Trustee Geo. P. Wilson.
Trustee Sloan introduced an ordinance entitled ..s follows:
"Ali Ordinance of the City of Newport Beach, ordering
the submission to the qualified votefs of said City the
proposition of sellinm a public utility ocrned by the City of liewport Beach,
calling a special election for that purpose, c:.nd fiain; the
date thereof; reciting the objects for which the election
is to be held and the purposes for which the proceeds "ro"1
such sale are proposed "to be e,pended, tIo manner of holding
such election and the voting for or aga_nst the s:..1e of the
public utility, and providing that in all particulars not
recited in this Ordinance, such election shall be held as
provided by law for holding rlunicipal elections in the City
of Newport Beach.
The Ordinance was ordered filed, read, considered, designated
Ordinance 7To. 217 and submitted to the City Attorney.
On motion of Trustee L. S. Wilkinson seconded. by Trustee H. C.
Sloan and carried, a :an of Tract !To. '525 Spaulding Place, boil'!- a
Resubdivision of the South of Lot 16 of Fairvie:r Farms comin. :iithin
the three mile limit of llcwport Beach, was approved by the Board of
Trustees.
On .iotion of Trustee L. S. Wilkinson seconded by Trustee TT. C,
Sloan and carried, the application of the Bank of Balboa for a license to
conduct a banking business on Lot 11 of Block 9 Balboa Tract, : ; ^.s granted.
On motion of Trustee L. S. Will_inson seconded by Trustee TT. C.
Sloan and Carried, the communication from the Balboa Island Improvement
association in regard to septic tan: location fir. Balboa_ Island, was
referred to the Committee in charge and City Engineer to e:,pe(lite tho
matter aS fast as possible.
On motion of Trustee L. S. Ylilkinson seconded by Trustee ll.C.
Sloan and'carried; permission was given the Ontario Investment Co. to cut
the curb in front of Lots 7 and 3 in Block 15 Balboa East Side r.ddition,
to be under the direction of the Street Superintendent..
On motion of Tr-astee H. C. Sloan seconded by Trustee Corr a,]
Richter and carried, the coi:rnunication from the Americr.n Union Fish Co.
was referred to the Chamber of Commerce for nttention. --
On motion of "ntstee i1. C. Sloan seconded by Trustce L.S.
Wilkinson ;_nd carried, the request of Ira L. Evans for transfer of his
business license to Earl F. Evans was granted.
On motion of Trustee L. S. Will:.inson seconded by Trustee T .C.
Sloan nd carried, the com_,-mmication from Evelyn K. Evans in regard to
pavinl the alley in Bloc1_ 11, was referred. to the City Engir_oer to ar-ran -,e
with the Contractor if possible to nave the alley.
On motion of LI- aistee H. C. Sloan seconde?. by Trustee L. S.
Fl;lkinson and carried, the communication from !lead, Rutan 6: Scovel in
regard to the shore end of the jetty, ':gas referred to the City 1 >ttorney.

Sloan and carried, the matter of lowering the rrados of the Pacific Electric

The Corlmittee appointed are Trustee TT. C. Sloe °.n, Treasurer Lung

The matter of repairing the bridge on 56th Street across the
Rive Alto was discussed, and on motion of Trustee L. S. Wilkinson
seconded by Trustee I?. C. Sloan and carried, the matter was referred to
the Street Cormnittee -:rith the Street Superintendent and City Engineer
with poser to act.
The City Engineer reported on the bids as follows:

On motion of Trustee H. C. Sloan seconded by Trustee Conrad
Richter and carried, the meeting adjourned Sine Die.
