The matter of repairing the bridge on 36tH Street across the
Rive Alto vras discussed, and on motion of Trustee L. S. Wilkinson
seconded by Trustee H. C. Sloan and carried, the matter vras referred to
the Street Committee •with the Street Superintendent and City Engineer
with pourer to act.

The President then asked if any objections had been received.,
or if there were any persons present prepared to shorn cause why bonds
should not be issued upon the security-of the assessments, or any of the

by the Board, but it appeared that none of said objectors had brought with
thew their receipts of payS,ient and that t'ney were unprepared to shore by
any other evidence that payment had been made.
It was thereupon moved by Trustee H. C. Sloan seconded by
' Trustee Geo. P. Wilson, that the hearing upon said list of unpaid
assessments should be continued to Honday, October 16, 192,:, at 7:30
o'clock P. .., of said day, or as soon thereafter as the matter could be
-reached; and that the Clerk be and is directed to give notice of said

("Wilson and carried, the application of Joel Wilson for three weeks
vacation from October 4th was granted., two reels of the time only on pay.

The Board of Trustees of the City of Newport Beach met in regular
adjourned session at 7 :30 o'clock P. I;:. on above date. The meeting was
called to order by President J. J. Schnitker.
The roll was called showing the full Board present.
The minutes of the previous meeting were read, corrected and
approved.
The communications were read and referred to the proper order
of business.
This being the day and hour set for opening bids on ;'35,000 of
Municipal Improvement District No. 2 bonds, the President called for the
bids to be opened but the Clerk reported that no bids had been received.
Trustee L. S. Vlilkinson introduced a Resolution amending Section
4 of Resolution No. 203 authorizing the Board of Trustees to sell the
whole or any part of the x;60,000.00 par value bonds of Municipal Improve-
ment District No. 2 of the City of Newport Beach, at private sale and
without further advertisement for bids but for not less than their par
value and accrued interest. The Resolution was ordered filed, read,
considered, designated Resolution No. 205, the roll was called and the
resolution passed and adopted by the following named members of the Board
of Trustees:
