City Hall, City of Newport Beach,Calif.
April 13,1925.
The Board of Trustees of the City-of Newport Beach, met in
regular session on the above date at 7:30 P.M., the meeting was called
to order by President Geo.P.Wilson. The roll was called showing the full
Board present. The Minutes of the meetings of April .6 and 7 were read
and approved. A communication was read from Mrs. Edna R.Storey, and
referred to the proper order of business.
. Mr, F. A: bTakosky presented the Board with a petition signed
by several property owners of Balboa Island requesting the Beard to widen
certain portions of Agate Avenue. The petition was read, considered and
referred to the City Engineer for investigation and report.
The communication from Mrs. Edna R.Storey was taken under
consideration. Mrs. ,torey stated that her proposition to the Board was
made with the understanding that the full sum of $900. would be paid in a
lump sum for her property, and that no other arrangement could be
considered. The matter was dissuussed and referred to President Wilson
to see what could be done.
City Engineer Kressly presented the Board of Trustees with a
tenative plan, drawn in detain for new water mains within the City.
The advisability of connecting the proposed system with the Corona Del
Mar system was discussed to great length, and the proposition was finally
laid over for two weeks for further consideration.
The proposition of an additional license for ice peddlers
-was reported on by trustee Sloan, and the matter having been discussed,
was Deferred back to the committee for an additional two weeks,
on motion of Trustee Sloan, seconded by trustee Youn , and
carried, the report of the'meat inspector having been read, was ordered
accepted and filed.
There being no further business,on motion of Trustee Wilkinson
seconded by Trustee Sloan and carried, the meeting was adjourned to
7 :30 P.M. April 27,1925,
