Board of Trustees, City of ?e °rnort Beach met in regular
session on a')ove date at 7:30 P. I.:. The meeting 1:las called to
order by the president George P. ':'ilsor.. The roll was called show- 7
ing full board present.T.;inutes of previous meeting were read, cor-
rected and anoroved as corrected.
Report of committee in regard to request of :'r. ;.ussell
to place buildin-; on Balboa pier was favorable and they recom end-
ed that he be granted same, subject to the en Moor's plans ^nd
specifics tions.
Coimmunications were read and referred to the Droner order
of business.
ORDINANCE IN:O. 291

widening in part of Central Avenue, a public street in said city,

Trustee Young introduced an ordinance entitled as follows:
An Ordinance of the city of liewport Beach doterminin-,
that the taxes of the city of :'e� ^Dort Beach shall be colloctod by
the Treasurer therof, and requiring the treasurer to collect the
same.
The ordinance was read, considered, d-si;� ated. Ordinance

City Hall, Newport Beach, March 15, 1926.
The Board of Trustees met in regular session at 7 :30
P. M. at the above roamed place on the above date. The meeting
was called to order by the president George P. Nilson. Roll call-
ed showing the full board present. The minutes of previous meet-
ing were read, corrected and approved as corrected.
Communications were read and referrred to the proper
order of business.
Upon motion of Trustee Sloan seconded by Trustee Young
the quitclaim deed of B. K. Stone and Phebe E, Stone, his wife,
to the city of Newport Beach a part of Lot 19, "•lock 21, Newport
Beach as described in said deed be accepted by the city and the
' clerk was ordered to record same and issue a demand and draw a
-arrant for the sum of $1201.28 as refund of taxes on the said
property in question.
In regard to the matter of unequal taxation as refered
to the tax collector at the meeting of March 81 1926. He report-
ed that according to the records he rec6fdmended that the Sparr
Fruit Company, as per list attached are entitled to a refund of
p400.00 which on motion of Trustee Sloan seconded by Trustee Rich-
ter and carried, the clerk was ordered to draw a warrant on the
city treasurer for the same.
