City Hall, Newport Beach, May 29, 1926.
The Board of Trustees of the City of Newport Beach met in
special session at 5:15 o'clock P. M. on above date. The meeting
was called to order by President Conrad Richter.
The roll was called showing the full Board present.
The notice of call of the meeting was read as follows:
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT A SPECIAL MEETING OF THE
BOARD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY OF NEWPORT BEACH IS CALLED FOR ,
THE HOUR OF 5:15 O'CLOCK.P. M. OF SATURDAY, MAY 29, 1926,IN
THE COUNCIL CHAMBER OF THE CITY HALL THEREOF, FOR THE PURPOSE
OF CONSIDERATION OF A MEANS OF FLUSHING THE SEPTIC TANK, AND
TAKING CARE.OF THE DISCHARGE THEREFROM.
City Engineer Kressly explained in detail the conditions at
the septic tank and why the plan as outlined by Water Superintendent
Daley at a previous meeting, could not be followed out without endangering
the tank. The matter was discussed thoroughly and on motion of
Trustee L. S. Wilkinson seconded by Trustee Fred W. Young and carried,
the instructions given the Water Superintendent at the last meeting with.
regard to experimenting in withholding the sewage on the incoming tides
be rescinded and we resume the old order of sewage disposal.
There being no further business on motion of Trustee Fred W.
Young seconded by Trustee L. S. Wilkinson and carried, the meeting
adjourned.

The Board of Trustees or' the City of Newport -Beach met in
regular session at 7 :30 o'clock P. M. on above date. The meeting was
called to order by President Conrad. Richter.
The roll was called showing the full Board present.
The minutes of the previous regular meeting were read and
approved as read.
The minutes of the special meeting of May 29th were read
and approved as read.
The reports of the heads of the departments were read and
on motion of Trustee Harry H. Williamson_ seconded by Trustee Felix
B. Modjeska and carried, the reports were accepted and filed. '
Trustee Harry H. Williamson reported that the Planning
Commission would recommend placing house numbers and street names on
Corona Del Mar, and if necessary an assessment district be formed.
On motion of Trustee Felix B. Modjeska seconded by Trustee Harry H.
Williamson and carried, the matter was turned over to the Street
Department for action if the expense is not over $300.00, and if it
is more than that to report back at the next meeting.
On motion of Trustee L. S. Wilkinson seconded by Trustee
Felix B. Modjeska and carried, the matter of beautifying the parking
spaces on Corona Del Mar with shrubs and trees, was referred to the
City Attorney.
The communications were read and on motion of Trustee L.
S. Wilkinson seconded by Trustee Felix B. Modjeska and carried, a
vote of thanks was extended to Foster & Kleiser Co. for the free
