Ralph Maskey addressed the Council relative to preparing ends of 42nd and 43rd Streets fronting on the Rivo Alto incorder that same may be utilized by the residents of that section for bathing purposes. Councilman Claire requested leave from the Council to be absent at the next - regular meeting and on motion of Councilman Ellsworth, seconded by Councilman Garfield and carried, the request was granted. There being no further business to come before the Council a motion to adjourn Sine Die was made by Councilman Claire, duly seconded by Councilman Garfield and carried. proved: City Clerk MINUTES OF SPECIAL MEETING OF AUGUST 16, 1933 A special meeting of the City Council was called by Mayor Hilmer at 9:30 o'clock a.m. August 16, 1933 at the City Council Chambers of the City of Newport Beach The purpose of the special meeting was to consider.the advisability of terminating the present lease of the City Dump Ground to E. G. Greeley and H. M. Greeley and, of substituting another lease or, of taking such other action as might be deemed necessary. The meeting was called to order by Mayor Hilmer, the roll call showing the full Council present with the exception of Councilman Gordon. A Resolution cancelling the lease of E. G. Greeley and H: M. Greeley on the City Dump Ground was presented and considered, and on motion of Councilman Ellsworth, duly seconded by Councilman Garfield and carried, the Resolution designated No. 796 was passed. On motion of Councilman Ellsworth, seconded by Councilman Garfield and carried, the Street Superintendent was instructed to provide a suitable custodian for the City Dump Ground, pending the preparation of a lease for same. There being no further business to come before the Special Meeting a motion to adjourn Sine Die was made by Councilman Ellsworth, seconded by Councilman Garfield and carried.
