CALL TO ORDER — The meeting was called to order at 3:00 p.m.

IV. PUBLIC HEARING ITEMS
ITEM NO.2 Lido Sands Recreation Area Coastal Development Permit No. CD2018-106 (PA2018-
247)
Site Location: 4700 Lido Sands Drive Council District 1
Gregg Ramirez, Principal Planner, on behalf of Chelsea Crager, Associate Planner, provided a brief project
description stating that the project is a coastal development permit for the demolition of an existing clubhouse
and the construction of a new 1,150 -square -foot clubhouse to serve the Lido Sands Community Association.
The project also includes modifications to existing on-site facilities including the swimming pool and other
accessory structures. The project complies with all applicable development standards and no deviations are
requested.
Applicant Eric Fulsang of Fulsang Architecture, Inc, stated that he had reviewed the draft resolution and agrees
with all of the required conditions.
The Zoning Administrator opened the public hearing. Seeing that no one from the public wished to comment,
the public hearing was closed.
Action: Approved
ITEM NO. 3 CopleyWest Minor Use Permit No. UP2018-024 (PA2018-282)
Site Location: 1620 Monrovia Avenue Council District 2
Jaime Murillo, Senior Planner, on behalf of Patrick Achis, Planning Technician, provided a brief project
description stating that the request is for a minor use permit to allow for a small boutique automotive sales use
and storage of classic and vintage cars. The subject property is located in the Industrial Zoning District and the
proposed use is allowed subject to the approval of a minor use permit. The use would occupy an existing
building and would involve no major changes to the interior or the exterior that would result in increased floor
area/height, or new permanent structures. Although the applicant intends to operate on an appointment -only
basis, for flexibility staff has conditioned the hours of operation from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., daily, which also serves

to minimize any disturbances to adjacent properties. As conditioned, an unpermitted gate located in the front
setback will be removed, and the applicant will rehabilitate the area in the front setback with landscape designed
to screen cars from the street's view. Additionally conditioned is that no vehicle repair or maintenance will occur
on-site.
Applicant Patrick Persichini, on behalf of the M2 Marmont, LLC, stated that he had reviewed the draft resolution
and agrees with all of the required conditions.
The Zoning Administrator opened the public hearing. Seeing that no one from the public wished to comment,
the public hearing was closed.
Action: Approved
