UNFINISHED BUSINESS. The City Council of the City of Newport Beach met in regular session in the council chambers of the City Hall at the hour of 7:30 P.M. W. Mc Cleary for a similar permit was supported from the floor by Attorney Tom Heffernan, who stated that H.W. On motion of Councilman Finch, seconded by Councilman Greeley and carried, action on the application was deferred to permit examination of the building plans on file in the Building Department. NEW BUSINESS. A petition bearing 430 signatures, requesting the Council to form an assessment district for the improvement of alleys in Corona Petition, CDM del Mar northeasterly of Coast Boulevard, was presented. The City Manager stated that he had received six bids for fleet liability insurance coverage in the amount of $100,000 - $300,000 for public liability and $5,000 - $10,000 for property damage.
